USA_003In view of parents’ professional postings, Kunle’s primary school education spanned Ode – Omu (Osun State), Oyo (Oyo State), Ogbomoso (Oyo State) and was completed at St Pauls Primary School, Gbongan, Osun State Nigeria.

Secondary education followed at Origbo Community High School, Ipetumodu, Osun State and he had a year of Advanced Level education  at the Oyo State College of Arts and Science, Ile – Ife, Osun State.

Kunle later proceeded to the University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University) Ile – Ife where he obtained a Bachelors degree (Honours) in International Relations. Subsequent educational pursuits at Kings College, London, United Kingdom earned him a Masters degree in International Peace and Security (a combination of International Law and Politics) and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in War Studies.

A highly committed professional, Kunle has worked extensively as a management consultant in the British public sector and the Canadian private sector. As the head of a unit that generated over £7.5 million annually for a British local government authority, he managed various e-government, e-business,  business re-engineering and information technology projects whilst actively involved in initiating, reviewing, as well as developing procedures/policies.

Kunle is a certified project management professional, a certified paralegal, and he is a member of various academic associations relating to African, Diaspora and International Studies.

His current areas of research interest include: Migration, Development, Globalisation and the New African Diasporas; Resource Control, Governance and Conflict in Sub-Saharan Africa; Ethnic, Inter-Group Conflicts, and Conflict Resolution; Human Rights; as well as War Crime Tribunals and Individual Criminal Responsibility.
